The terms,
plainly put.

Last updated

Yumbrella is a project from Airship Labs LLC (“Airship Labs,” “we,” or “us”). These terms cover the Yumbrella website at www.yumbrella.app, the Yumbrella waitlist, and the Yumbrella apps once they are available. By using the site, joining the waitlist, or using the apps, you agree to these terms.

What Yumbrella is

Yumbrella is a personal recipe collection and cooking companion. It is planned for web, mobile, and desktop and is not available yet. Today this site lets you join the waitlist. Features may change before and after launch, we may stop offering Yumbrella, and joining the waitlist does not guarantee access or a launch date.

Joining the waitlist

Sign up only with an email address that is yours. We use it to send Yumbrella early access updates, as described on our privacy page. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any Yumbrella marketing email.

Who can use Yumbrella

You must be at least 18 years old to join the waitlist or use the apps.

Your recipes and content

You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, notes, and changes you add to Yumbrella, including photos of cookbook pages and recipes you import from websites. You allow us to store, process, and display that content, including through the service providers that help us run Yumbrella (such as AI providers), only as needed to provide Yumbrella to you. Only add content you have the right to use. Recipes and cookbook pages from other people may be protected by copyright, so keep them for your own personal use.

Suggestions and food restrictions

Yumbrella uses AI to suggest recipes and to adapt recipes to your tastes and food restrictions. Suggestions and adapted recipes can be wrong or incomplete, and they are not medical, nutritional, or allergy advice. Always check ingredients and labels yourself, especially if you have an allergy or other food restriction, and follow safe food handling practices.

Using Yumbrella fairly

Don’t use Yumbrella to break the law, sign up other people without their permission, send automated or bulk requests, or interfere with or disrupt the site, the apps, or other people’s use of them.

Our name and content

The Yumbrella name, logo, and the design and content of this site and the apps belong to Airship Labs. These terms don’t give you any right to use them except to use Yumbrella.

Price

The website and waitlist are free. If we offer paid features later, we will show you the price and billing terms before you buy, and we won’t charge you unless you agree to them.

No warranties

Yumbrella is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that Yumbrella will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to a particular purpose.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Airship Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Yumbrella. Our total liability for any claim about Yumbrella is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us for Yumbrella in the 12 months before the claim.

Stopping and suspension

You can stop using Yumbrella at any time. To leave the waitlist, unsubscribe or ask us to delete your waitlist information as described on our privacy page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Yumbrella grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Yumbrella after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

Colorado law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about Yumbrella will be decided in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.
